East Coast Speedway

Well, that was interesting! Not the weekend we were needing very badly but at least we did race. We basically got half of Sat night, all of Sunday and two quad programs all in on one night last evening in between about 5 rain showers. There were a few mishaps unfortunately…all just racing incidents and not conditions related but thoughts are with Spencer Portararo and Phil Scavone who have broken a hand and wrist. Phil is in for surgery this morning. I am sure a few others are hurting this morning, including Austin Novratil and Levi Levis Harris who both got banged up in the last Main event. Thoughts are with Mikki Card too who banged up her knee. Thank you to the small amount of people who were willing to brave all the rain, cold and wind all weekend! Austin Novratil is extremely talented and when he is on it is a beautiful thing to watch! He was sick as a dog, throwing up in the pits probably five times last night and rode 4 different bikes to take the overall title! RIP to one of my GM engines that blew up badly when he was winning the first Main event from Saturdays program coming across the line. He was so sick he had to lay on the ground in between races but put a great show on. Casey was his normal steady self. Guys like Levi and Mike Cortese keep getting better and The kids…Albert Smith and Caleb Stewart are getting very fast. Such a pleasure every time Devin DeFreece comes out, very class act! Jonny Oakden stepped it up last night and rode very well. A lot of people were buzzing about Cody Pierce, the kid is just mature beyond his years on a bike. Congrats to our other winners…Gage Renfer, Joel Farwell, Jaden Slate, Brayden Bernhardt and Chase Archibald.
